Hold on tight for a safe ride on the unique Knysna RIB* adventure power boat.
Remember to keep breathing and your eyes open to experience the full wonder of this beautiful unspoilt environment.
Apart from the pristine estuary, an adventure through the infamous Knysna Heads will be the ultimate boating experience. Once out to sea the world is our oyster, where one can experience a vast array of bird and marine life as well as breath-taking scenery, for example: Buffalo Bay, Noetzie Castles and the beautiful surroundings.
When the conditions of the Knysna Heads are unsafe the adventure will continue down the Knysna estuary which has its own variety of scenery and birdlife. Be sure that this is no ordinary lagoon cruise!!!
Safety is our priority but out main focus is fun fun fun...
During their annual fund raiser The Spel-a-Thon at Knysna Primary, Knysna RIB sponsored one of the top 3 prizes. The little girl who won this prize (A 60 minute Adventure Trip for a family of 4) is Ziva Botha. Knysna Primary just wants to thank Knysna RIB for their wonderful generosity and always supporting Local
Lived up to all its promise. Amazing speed across the lagoon waters and then a thrilling ride to the open sea past the Heads. The ride was thrilling and felt like riding a rampant bull as we rode the waves. The bonus was, albeit fleeting, to spot a whale. This is a must do activity for the adventurous and well...
We had seen others on the rib from our lagoon-side apartment and had to have a go. We set out on one of the morning trips and it was a really sunny day, although a little choppy out at sea. It was 500 rand each for an hour-long trip, but well worth it. We got up to 98km an hour in the lagoon, saw the featherbed nature reserve up close and rode the 2.8m waves at sea. It was a bit like riding a horse and a few of the waves were proper bone-crunchers so if you suffer with back or neck problems it might not be for you. It was a great thrill though, and our guide had lots of interesting facts and insights for us along the way. I'd definitely recommend it.
I recommend that adventure to everybody and i tell you, that safety is the first priority. You dont have to worry about anything, they are very professional and friendly guys. The trip is not fast all the time, you get explained the heads and some storys about them. Really informative and fun. I was impressed of the power of the boat when he put up the speed!!
